combine harvester
The popular image of an inventor is someone exiting a garage or some secret lab with a big item under a cloth that someone else never thought of. Another image is of a inventor is in a white coat running out of their laboratory shouting "I've done it!"or "ive got it". These exsamples are true in most cases.

The combine harvester is a machine that combines the tasks of harvesting, threshing, and cleaning grain crops all into one machine. The objective is to complete these three processes in one pass of the machine over a particular part of the field. The waste straw left behind on the field is the remaining dried stems and leaves of the crop with limited nutrients which is either chopped and spread on the field or baled for feed and bedding for livestock depending on a owner. The first combine was invented by Hiram Moore in 1838.

A different inventor later made a simmilar harvester. who was a australian local and his name was Mr. Hugh V. Mckay. The harvester's was later called the sunshine harvester. The Sunshine Harvester was a huge improvement from the earlier Wheat stripper because it included the winnowing. hough mckay was only 17 when he invented the harvester. he later established a factory where he produced and distributed more items.
It is great to see two differnt people come up with two things so similar. This means that it really must have been a pain to work without it by hand.
